Stephen King's "Rage" is a novel published in 1977 under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman. The novel was written when King was a high school teacher in the early 1970s and tells the story of a disturbed teenager named Charlie Decker, who goes on a shooting spree in his high school. The novel was controversial and has been linked to real-life incidents of school shootings. In 1997, after several school shootings, King voluntarily requested that the book be taken out of print.
